Are the ferry to Samsø on schedule?

Update on the ice situation in the Port of Aarhus, and deployment of the ferry on the Sælvig – Aarhus route

The ice situation in the Port of Aarhus has unfortunately not improved in the past week – but has instead worsened significantly. The fast ferry LILLEØRE is therefore canceling all departures between Sælvig and Aarhus until and including Wednesday, February 25, due to ice in the port basin in the Port of Aarhus and outside the port.

The temperature will rise this coming weekend, but we also need wind from the right direction for the ice to drift out of the port.

We are continuously assessing the situation, and if an opportunity to sail arises, we will be ready at short notice.

Tickets for the affected departures will be cancelled and refunded automatically.

A commuter bus will be introduced for pedestrians Monday to Friday, departing from Hou at 6:45 a.m. and from the ferry berth at DOKK1 in Aarhus at 4:00 p.m.

It is not possible to bring bicycles on the bus.
Registration is required no later than the day before at 14.00 by email to tilsamsoe@samsoe.dk or by phone 70 22 59 00

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Kind regards
Samsø Rederi

We always give notice

We will let your know as soon as we know something....

We send out traffic information if we deviate from schedule for more than 15 minutes.

We put a virtue in letting our customers know what is going on. So you can be sure that if it says that we are on schedule, we are.

As soon as we know we are going to be delayed or something else, we will let you know as soon as possible.

Broadcasting traffic information is not just about updating the information on this page. We also send text messages via our text message service. Just as we have to deal with a delay or cancellation by closing departures in our system, possibly moving customers to new departures, calling hauliers who need to move their trucks to new departures and much more.

We are therefore always very busy when we experience delays or cancellations. Therefore, we encourage you to follow along on this page and not call or write to us, as we have nothing more to say than you can read here.

Thank you for your understanding.
